Keadue village located in the most northerly part of County Roscommon is set at the foot of Arigna Mountains, adjacent to Lough Allen and Lough Meelagh.

In 1993 Keadue became the first village in the West of Ireland to win the National title in the Bord Failte "Irish Tourist Organisation" Tidy Towns Competition. This success was repeated in 2003 when Keadue was again declared the best kept town-village in Ireland and also won a silver Medal award in the European Entente Florale Competition.
